In a thousand tomorrows

In my brokenness I wished upon a falling star, for a thousand chances to say "I love you." As the day broke, so did my heart, as you rejected my love.
True to her promise the star granted me a new day, to start afresh, a different "I love you." As time went by, I started to realise that you wanted me not in your tomorrow. Nine hundred and ninety nine tomorrows broke my heart each time, as you turned and walked away, taking with you my dreams, my hopes, my happiness.
On this eve of the last tomorrow, the fallen star offered me one more tomorrow. I shook my head, pointing out the all the rejection wont change one last tomorrow. If only I could go back to yesterday, I thought.
The broken star winked, and in a blink I was in yesterday. I corrected my faults, I paid interest in yours, and told you each day what a blessing you are.
When the last tomorrow finally arrived, again you turned and walked and said your goodbye.
In that last goodbye, I realised it wasn't that I made you unhappy. I noticed that you are unhappy with you. I saw how you did not love nor value who you are.
I waved goodbye, turned and walked towards the day after.
